INFORMATION:
OBJECTIVE
To recognize those individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to ASID Alabama and our profession in the State of Alabama
GENERAL
- Nominations may be made by any active ASID Alabama member; including Professional, Allied, Student, Associate, Educator, and Industry Partner member.
- Awards shall be presented only when deemed appropriate and merited.
- Evaluation of the nominations, and the final decisions, will be done by Board of Directors.
- Recipients will be notified of the bestowed honor prior to the Annual Awards presentation.
- Individuals may not nominate themselves.
REQUIREMENTS
- A completed nomination form
- At least one typed letter of nomination, describing any and all ways the nominee has met the contributions as listed in the category for which they are being nominated
- Any other supporting documentation
- A biography of the nominee to include their accomplishments (Lifetime Achievement Award ONLY)
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
- All nomination forms and documents must be received no later than midnight May 31, 2021.
Categories
Outstanding Practitioner Member
- Presented to a professional or Allied member who, during the past year, has exhibited either or both of the following:
- Dedication to the interior design profession
- Dedication and/or service to ASID Alabama
Outstanding Industry Partner
- Presented to an Industry Partner member who, during the past year, has exhibited either or both of the following:
- Dedication to the interior design profession (ex: mentoring students or emerging interior design professionals, building relationships with collateral professions and professionals)
- Dedication and/or service to ASID Alabama
Outstanding Student Member
- Presented to an student member who, during the past year, has exhibited either or both of the following:
- Dedication to the interior design profession
- Dedication and/or service to ASID Alabama
Excellence in Architecture
- Presented to an architect, ASID member or non-member, or architecture firm who, during the past year, has either:
- Completed a project that advanced the field of architecture
- Shown extraordinary support for, or the advancement of, the profession of architecture in some form
Distinguished Achievement Award
- Presented to an active ASID member who, during the past year, has realized significant accomplishments, or made significant contributions to ASID Alabama.
The Champion Award
- Presented to a non-member who has demonstrated exceptional dedication or contribution to ASID Alabama and/or the interior design profession.
Lifetime Achievement Award
- Presented to an ASID member, active or retired, who has made cumulative contributions to the interior design profession through at least two of the following:
- Inspirational excellence in the practice of interior design
- Dedication to the interior design profession
- Dedication and service to ASID Alabama (cumulative/life-time contributions in a variety of volunteer positions)
